He Was My #1 Favorite, I Wish I Could Remember His Face
A vertical 40 inch high x 30 inch wide, original, mixed media painting on canvas.  The piece is acrylic paint and gold leaf, paired with patterned fabric and paper to bring this original artwork to life. The multi-level depth creates a romantic feeling perfect for a home or office. The artwork does not need framing as the sides of the canvas are painted. It is signed by the artist.

In this series, Cabell reclaims classic femininity as multi-faceted, giving voice and texture to lost imagery. Her art pushes for colorful expansion of a “woman’s place” while it explores the complex dynamic of a woman’s emotions, celebrating the bygone glamour of mid-century fashion and deconstructing its patriarchal underpinnings. Cabell’s painting/collages read as meditations on the female experience and the pursuit for sovereignty in a historically male dominated culture.
